Thanksgiving is just around the corner. This means that many branches are looking forward to the President’s Thanksgiving Day Proclamation. Mary Baker Eddy requested that the Proclamation of the President of the United States , or of the Governor of the state, or both, be read at the Thanksgiving Day service (
Church Manual, page 123).
In the past, you found the President’s Proclamation in the daily print version of The Christian Science Monitor as well as on
CSMonitor.com. You can still find it on
CSMonitor.com. You can also go to the White House
website. Please be sure the First Reader of your church or society has access to this Proclamation.
